Dear OWNCS Families,

On behalf of the Parent Teacher Organization at OWNCS, welcome to the 2019–2020 school year!

What is the PTO? We are a group of volunteer parents who organize events and activities that contribute to our children’s experience at OWNCS. We strive to build a strong school community through PTO-sponsored events and provide much needed resources for important programs. All parents and guardians of OWNCS students are automatically members of the PTO.

Some of last school year’s donations alone helped fund these important projects:

• $2,400 for yoga and mindfulness programs for both students and teachers
• $4,500 for luncheons for faculty during parent teacher conferences and Back to School
• $3,000 for field trip support for K-8
• $2,200 in technology donations for various classrooms
• $800 for sports equipment and $300 for additional playground equipment
• $1,000 toward yearbooks

Your support also enables us to provide these community-building events for our families: Free Art Saturdays; Multicultural Festival; Grades 3–8 State Exam Breakfasts; Back-to-School events; and more!

OWNCS has over 700 students enrolled. If each family contributes a $50 tax-deductible gift we can reach our goal. However, any amount you feel comfortable giving will be greatly appreciated. OWNCS PTO is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization, so all gifts are tax deductible.

Consider doubling your contribution with corporate matching funds available through your employer.  Contact your human resources department for forms and information.
